Flat is a nickname. These roofs still need somewhere for water to go. TPO is the membrane we use on a lot of low-slope work: shops, small offices, additions, and some houses with a flat section over a patio or a porch. RTI Roofing inspects the membrane, the seams, the edges, and the drains before recommending a repair or a replacement.
For homes
A house can have a sloped tile or shingle roof and a flat section that is the actual leak. We look at both. Commercial flat roofs are a large part of this service: plazas along roads like Kendall Drive, small warehouses, and association buildings. We talk about access and hours so the business is not surprised. RTI also installs liquid-applied roofing and waterproofing systems.
What the visit covers
- TPO membrane on low-slope roofs
- Seams, edges, and terminations
- Drains, scuppers, and the path water actually takes
- Curbs and other details around rooftop equipment
- A note when water is ponding, without a promise that a coating will fix it
What you leave with
Ponding water is the thing we will not talk around. If water stands on the roof after the rain has stopped, the scope has to deal with that, not only with a new sheet in the same shape. We do not publish a price per square of TPO. The inspection is free, and the scope is specific to the building.
Send specs for this work
The Roof Project Calculator asks about the building, the material, and how soon you need someone. Send us your specs and we will follow up with a quote. It does not show a price.

Questions about flat / tpo roofing
Is TPO the same as a tar roof?
No. TPO is a single-ply membrane. Older built-up roofs are a different system. We identify what you have before we recommend work.
Do you offer a silicone coating instead of TPO?
RTI installs liquid-applied roof coatings and waterproofing systems. Whether a coating or a TPO membrane is the right fit depends on the condition of the existing roof, so we inspect it first. See liquid-applied roofing.
Can you price a flat roof from the ground?
No. Call (305) 235-4968 and we will schedule a free inspection.
